I just discovered that my blog hasn’t been cross posting my blog posts for a number of months.
A few highlights of what I’ve been up to while I’ve been on “Mars”:
We’ve gotten a lot of media coverage – Vice, BBC Radio 4, Material FM, The New Yorker, Vox, Tech Times part 1 and part 2 and NBC
Wrote about what I’m doing living on Mars for eight months
Wrote a couple posts about the habitat I’m living in – Habitat tour video and interior shot
I’ve done a lot of 3D printing (over 600 parts and counting). I talked about why 3D printing is cool and stupid. Some of my designs I’ve posted to thingiverse – https://www.thingiverse.com/zakw/designs
My eight month mission is starting to come to a close. It’s been a great experience overall. We’ll be getting out on June 13th. First order of business is skydiving with the US Army skydiving team, the Golden Knights. They will be picking us up directly from our mountainside habitat and we’ll be tandem jumping from a helicopter. Seems like an appropriate way to reenter Earth.
I’m not able to use Facebook directly (no real time communication is permitted) so I won’t be able to reply to comments on my posts though I’m able to see comments and reply to them via email. I can’t see private messages or posts on my timeline. So email me if you would like to get in contact.
Zack, wow your Mars adventure seems pretty exciting. Your dad just told my about your whereabouts last week. I’ve watched every video and read all the posts. Your re-entry sounds fantastic!! Bill and I have similar living arrangements (off grid) in our south park, CO home. Best of luck during your last few weeks. I’ll be watching! (I promise I’m not a stalker – lol)

Living off grid has been a really interesting experience. It really forces you to think about how you are consuming. I’ve found it quite enlightening.
You should be able to watch our emergence live, I’ll post the details when I get them.
Thanks for you interest and support.
